The Family Business Summit, an online event held for the first time this year, centered around preparing the future for African family businesses, which continue to expand in line with the continent’s growth. The two-day event gave family businesses and advisors the opportunity to interact with one other and network for future business.
On October 1, Asafo & Co. Partner, Arnaud de Brosses, moderated a panel on “How to Avoid Legal and Tax Pitfalls in Africa” where he was joined by distinguished panelists Mamadou Ismaïla Konaté (former Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Mali), Kate Kanyi-Tometi Fotso (Chief Executive Officer, Telcar Cocoa, Cameroon) and Dr. Darshan Chandaria (Group CEO, Chandaria Industries).
On October 2, Our London Partner, Graeme Bell, led a workshop on “How to Make the Most of Assets by Forming a Holding Company”, along with partners Arnaud de Brosses, Patrick Larrivé (Casablanca) and Esther Omulele (Nairobi) who each led small breakout sessions on related subtopics.
