
This strategic contract, valued at €600 million, covers the supply of 30 modern Intercity trains, with an option for 10 additional units, along with technical assistance and spare parts services. These state-of-the-art trains, capable of operating at 200 km/h and offering a capacity of over 500 seats, are designed to significantly enhance regional connectivity between Morocco’s main cities.
The transaction is part of Morocco’s ambitious plan to modernize its railway infrastructure ahead of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, with the aim of connecting 87% of the population to the rail network by 2040.
