Asafo & Co. recently advised Purple Hedge Resources in its acquisition of Compagnie Minière d’Oumejrane from Groupe Managem.

Purple Hedge Resources Morocco, a wholly owned subsidiary of Purple Hedge DWC based in the United Arab Emirates, has acquired Compagnie Minière d’Oumejrane from Groupe Managem, a prominent Moroccan mining group. Our team worked closely with Purple Hedge Resources’ leadership to ensure the deal’s successful execution, leveraging our expertise in cross-border mining transactions and our deep understanding of the African mining landscape.

This acquisition, valued at US$ 30 million, marks a key step in Purple Hedge Resources’ strategy to expand its footprint in Morocco’s mining sector and solidify its position as a major player in copper production across Africa. The company’s growth is supported by equity funding from a private investor dedicated to African development and financing from a New York-based investment fund with expertise in metals and minerals essential to the global energy transition.

The Asafo & Co. team advising Purple Hedge Resources was led by partner Patrick Larrivé who was assisted by associates Safaa El Khammal and Othmane Mestari, as well as Souhail Sassi, Zineb Benabdellah, Habiba Bensaid and Noor Rachid.
