In response to COVID-19, we have in place measures to protect our teams and continue client services throughout our offices in Africa and Europe.

In these unprecedented times, we are first and foremost committed to ensuring the health and safety of our personnel and their families, our clients and communities around the world.

In light of the increased health safety measures taken around the world in relation to COVID-19, we have put in place measures to protect our teams and maintain client service throughout our offices in Africa and Europe.

Remote working arrangements

In accordance with guidance from local government and world health authorities, our teams are fully equipped to work remotely.

All our professionals have secure laptops and devices and have the means to leverage technology for day-to-day operations. Our remote working arrangements have been tested over time as many of our lawyers and professionals are accustomed to working remotely on a regular basis. For certain essential services that involve hard copy deliveries, we have in place the resources needed to ensure such services.

Meetings and conferences

All large-scale conferences and meetings have been canceled or postponed to a later date. In addition, our lawyers and staff are conducting internal and external meetings virtually as much as possible. All our lawyers and professionals are equipped with a mobile telephone, and the ability to set up teleconference and videoconference arrangements from their phone or laptop.

Travel

In several of our office locations travel has been restricted to/from certain countries. As a result, we have instructed our teams to limit international travel to strict exceptions and in compliance with guidance from local governments and world health authorities. This is to ensure the safety of our teams and avoid being in a position where someone cannot return home as travel restrictions evolve daily.

We will keep you informed as the situation evolves. You can rest assured that we are fully prepared to maintain our operations, help you mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on your business and continue to provide you the highest quality service without disruption.

If you have any questions about a specific issue, upcoming deadline or possible impact of COVID-19 on your business, please contact the partner in charge of your matter or one of the partners listed below who have been assigned to our firm’s COVID-19 task force.
