Adrien advises public institutions, issuers and arrangers across the whole spectrum of debt capital markets products in Africa including sovereign bonds, hybrid transactions and derivative products.
Adrien has also a strong expertise in a wide range of corporate finance and structured finance transactions, from asset finance to project finance (especially in the renewable energy sector).
Selected Experience:
- Advising Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) on its subscription of bonds issued by the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignation Gabon (CDC) exchangeable into existing shares of Gabon Special Economic Zone SA (GSEZ).
- Advising Deutsche Bank, the Euro lenders, on the establishment and negotiation of a credit facility to refinance the short-term debt of the electricity sector in Côte d’Ivoire, in particular the debt of CI-Energies.
- Advising EOS Group on the refinancing of its wind portfolio in France including nine wind farms with a total installed capacity of 101.4 MW.
- Advising Azito Energie S.A. (the project company) and the sponsors Globeleq (part of the UK’s CDC Group, and IPS, the power division of the Aga Khan’s development fund) with respect to the 250MW expansion of the gas-fired Azito independent power plant in Côte d’Ivoire (Azito Phase IV).
- Advising SG Côte d’Ivoire and NSIA Banque, the CFA lenders, on the establishment and negotiation of a credit facility to refinance the short-term debt of the electricity sector in Côte d’Ivoire, in particular the debt of CI-Energies.
- Advising Standard Chartered Bank and other banks on the drafting and conclusion of ISDA documentation for a Eurobond issuance by the government of Republic of Ivory Coast.
