After having been a capital markets lawyer at Freshfields, Alain Gauvin joined Coudert Brothers in May 2000.
In October 2007, he joined the Banking & Finance Department of LPA-CGR avocats where he has been the head of the Algerian and Moroccan offices. He joined ASAFO & CO. as a partner in January 2020.
Over the years, Alain has gained a deep understanding of the banking and financial industry and has built up a strong relationship with banking and financial authorities, especially in the EU, France and North-African countries.
His practice focuses on general banking and financial regulatory, financing transactions and he advises on legal aspects inherent to structuring new banking and financial instruments. Alain, who splits his time between Europe and North-Africa, has developed experience in transactions and investment operations involving North- African countries, especially in Morocco and Algeria.
