Benoit has over fifteen years of experience in the international banking and finance industry, and has worked in both Europe and in Africa. He has extensive experience, particulary in West Africa capital markets and banking regulation and under OHADA law.

He regularly advises on structuring project finance and corporate finance cross-border transactions while leveraging sophisticated financing mechanisms.

His combined experience of working in-house at the African Development Bank,  and The International Fund for Agriculture Development, in leading international business law firms gives him unique insight into understanding the inner workings of banks and multilateral development institutions.

Selected experience:

  • Advised KF Titrisation & Invictus Capital Finance on the structuring and legal documentation of the debt securitization transaction through FCTC Sonatel for an amount of 75 billion CFA francs.
  • Advised NSIA on the formulation of an opinion regarding NSIA Côte d’Ivoire’s capacity as a custodian bank.
  • Advised Banque Ouest Africaine de Développement (BOAD) in connection with a commercial debt securitization transaction involving a portfolio of Senelec invoices.
  • Advised BOAD Titrisation (FCTC DOLI P 1 and DOLI P 2) in connection with the securitization of sovereign and commercial receivables totaling FCFA 310 billion held by member states of an international financial institution.
  • Advised BOAD Titrisation (FCTC Keur Samba) on a multi-seller securitization transaction involving bank receivables worth 30 billion CFA francs, dedicated to refinancing SMEs and SMIs.
  • Advised Nourmony Holding SA and IMPAXIS in connection with a bond issue guaranteed by the FSA, the proceeds of which will be used to finance the subsidiaries’ activities.
  • Advised international investors in connection with the contracting of financial instruments and derivative transactions.
  • Advised BlueOrchard Microfinance Fund on a subordinated debt financing to NSIA Banque CI.
  • Assisted an Ivorian commercial bank in connection with the project to acquire a majority stake in the share capital of the Commercial Bank in Cameroon.
  • Advised CNPS in connection with the acquisition of a stake in a Commercial bank by CNPS.
  • Advised Goodwill Audit & Consulting in connection with the transfer of the share capital of Ivoire Coton SA to Optimus Holding.
