George Rubagumya Linkedin
George is an international lawyer with wide ranging experience in capital markets, where he has led a PanAfrican Initiative to promote asset-backed securities, multi-bonds and REITS in African capital markets. He also has experience in project development and finance.
George previously served as the Senior Legal and Economic Advisor/Director for Africa for AECOM Technology Corporation, global leading engineering firm, where he served as Reconstruction Advisor to the Government of Southern Sudan from 2005 through 2009.
He was on the Founding Board of Directors of the Rwanda Development Board in 2009; and served as the first Executive Director of the Uganda Investment Authority in the mid-1990s.
Early in his career, George served as Assistant Attorney General of Texas, responsible for Highway Construction and Natural Resources Management.
